A little personality.
A lot less guesswork.

One or two signatures can make a bar feel more personal while simplifying the menu, the order, and the line.

SIGNATURE COCKTAIL BATCHING GUIDE
76

featured servings

Across 2 signature recipes, plan about 38 servings of each if guests split evenly. Use this as your starting batch target.

01

Choose for speed

Select recipes with 3–4 components. Pre-batch everything your venue and bartender approve—never add bubbles until service.

02

Let them share ingredients

Two drinks can feel distinct without doubling the shopping list. Build around one shared citrus, syrup, or garnish.

03

Offer a zero-proof twin

A thoughtful NA version keeps everyone in the ritual and makes your beverage program feel complete.

04

Keep the names legible

A small menu listing ingredients moves guests through the line faster than a clever name alone.

03 / THE SUPPLY PLAN

Everything behind
a very good pour.

Alcohol is only part of a functioning bar. Use this working list for 120 guests, then confirm the final quantities with your venue or bar lead.

Alcohol

10 cases of beer / seltzer

38 bottles of wine

15 bottles of spirits

20 bottles of sparkling wine

04 / TEXAS, IN PLAIN ENGLISH

Who brings it matters.
So does where you pour it.

This is planning guidance, not legal advice. Your venue’s license status and contract come first; confirm your exact setup with the venue and TABC or a qualified professional.

01

A truly private, free bar can be possible.

At an unlicensed private event, hosts can generally provide alcohol free to adult guests without getting a permit. “Free” means no drink tickets for sale, required tips, donations, entry charge tied to drinks, or other pay-to-pour workaround.

02

Your venue may change the answer.

A venue can prohibit outside alcohol or require its own licensed provider, bartenders, security, insurance, fees, or specific purchasing rules. A location that already holds a TABC license needs special care—never assume BYOB is allowed.

03

Serving and selling are different.

TABC seller-server certification is training, not a license to sell alcohol. If a team is selling or furnishing alcohol as part of a paid package, the proper retailer permit and event authority may be required. Ask who purchases, owns, transports, and sells every bottle.

04

Safe service is still everyone’s job.

Use trained professionals, verify age, stop service to intoxicated guests, keep water and food available, plan rides, and check host-liquor-liability coverage. Texas civil-liability rules can still matter even when drinks are free.

05 / FINANCIAL COMFORT

Spend where calm
matters most.

You gain: brand control, retailer pricing, and possible unopened returns where allowed.

You own: ordering, transport, chilling, storage, mixers, tools, staffing, setup, shortages, leftovers, and venue compliance.

Texas comparison points we reviewed span BYOB support around $7–$12 per guest plus labor, hosted beer-and-wine around $22–$25 per drinking guest, and fuller hosted bars around $27–$38+ before applicable fees. Venue packages and premium service can run higher.
